MacArthur Senior Flats

Peoria Opportunities Foundation is partnering with Pivotal Housing Partners to bring the first affordable senior first affordable senior housing development to Peoria: MacArthur Senior Flats.

MacArthur Flats will be located at the corner of McBean Street and MacArthur Highway. This newly constructed development will offer 48 modern units for seniors aged 55 and older. Situated on 1.5 acres, the four-story elevator building will feature 41 one-bedroom and 7 two-bedroom apartments, all designed with universal design principles and energy-efficient features.

MacArthur Senior Flats will include a range of amenities to promote active and connected living, including a fitness room, community space, and on-site commercial storefront. Ample parking will be available for both residents and guests.

The site is ideally positioned across from Martin Luther King Jr. Park and within two miles of a community garden, shopping, restaurants, public transit, multiple religious institutions and downtown Peoria—offering convenience and accessibility for residents.

Construction is set to begin Summer 2026.
