Reclaim Peoria is a community-led initiative to increase homeownership in Peoria's 61605 ZIP code, addressing a critical need for stable and affordable housing. This project aims to renovate and sell single family homes to low-income, first time home-buyers.

The project is a key component of the Peoria City/County Health Department’s Social Determinants of Health Accelerator Plan, which awarded POF a Health Equity Homeownership grant to fund this work. 

Beyond renovating houses, Reclaim Peoria is focused on building relationships and empowering the community. The project works to foster a sense of community ownership by involving residents in the development process. By addressing housing stability and creating opportunities for wealth building, the program lays the groundwork for a healthier, more vibrant neighborhood.
